Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of Hirobot’s website and the HIARM-TWIN-01 desktop application. Read them before downloading or using the app.

Effective:

1. Purpose and application

Hirobot Co., Ltd. (“Hirobot” or “we”) provides this website and HIARM-TWIN-01 (“app”). You accept these Terms by selecting a HIARM-TWIN-01 download, installing, or using the app after receiving an opportunity to review them, subject to applicable notice and agreement requirements. If you do not accept them, do not download or use the app.

If you act for a school, company, or other organization, you must have authority to agree on its behalf. Minors need a parent’s or legal guardian’s agreement where required by law. Individually agreed terms for hardware, paid licenses, or support take priority for the matters they cover.

2. Software license and intellectual property

You may use HIARM-TWIN-01 for internal education, evaluation, and operation of compatible HIARM-TWIN-01 equipment, within any agreed limits on devices, users, and duration. This permission is limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable. Ownership of the app and rights not granted to you remain with Hirobot and its licensors.

You may install the app and make reasonable backups. Unless authorized by Hirobot, applicable law, or an open-source license, you may not modify, reverse engineer, distribute, rent, resell, sublicense, provide it as a service to others, remove rights notices, or bypass license or security controls. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.

Website materials and branding belong to their respective rights holders. Reuse or redistribution requires permission unless allowed by law or an applicable license.

3. Your materials

Using the app does not transfer ownership of your recordings, projects, datasets, or models to Hirobot. You are responsible for the permissions needed to use or share materials, checking results, and keeping backups.

Hirobot and its support providers may access, copy, and use materials you send as needed to handle your support request, subject to applicable confidentiality duties and the Privacy Policy. Support does not include file storage or recovery. Personal-information processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Safe use of robots

Check equipment compatibility, calibration, operating limits, and the workspace before use. Follow hardware instructions, keep people and objects clear of moving parts, and ensure trained operators can stop the equipment. The school or operating organization must provide appropriate supervision and hardware safeguards. Stop operation if it is unsafe.

Robot motion can cause pinching, collisions, or dropped loads. Review imported files and test recorded or learned motions on hardware under supervision. Camera and model results may be inaccurate. Software checks are not safety certification, and warnings or stop commands must not be the only safety measure. The app is not intended for safety-critical control.

5. Rules for using the service

Do not use the website or app to break the law, infringe others’ rights, introduce harmful files, bypass access controls, disrupt services, cause harm, or impersonate Hirobot. Use trusted files and models.

Third-party software, models, tools, and services have their own licenses and privacy notices. Check the terms and suitability of components you choose. Links and integrations do not guarantee third-party availability or make Hirobot responsible for that provider’s service.

6. Service changes and support

The product page and release information describe available features and supported environments. Plans and demonstrations do not add commitments beyond agreed specifications, contracts, or law. Free use does not include a right to future versions, paid features, guaranteed response times, customization, or indefinite maintenance.

We may change or end features, downloads, or support for reasonable technical, security, legal, or business reasons, subject to any notice or remedy required by law or your agreement.

Use a supported environment and follow security-update instructions. Support is provided under your purchase or license agreement. You can contact us at contact@hirobot.com.

7. Warranties and liability limits

Unless expressly agreed or required by law, the website and app are provided as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every setup, accurate camera or model results, or particular educational or business outcomes.

Where reasonable and lawful, Hirobot’s liability is limited to direct loss reasonably foreseeable from the agreed use. Indirect losses, lost profits, and lost business opportunities are excluded on the same basis.

Hirobot is not liable for losses arising without its fault, including losses caused by unauthorized changes, unsupported configurations, failure to follow instructions or keep reasonable backups, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. You are responsible for loss caused by your unlawful use or breach to the extent provided by applicable law.

These Terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Ending use and updating these Terms

Hirobot may restrict use or terminate the license for a material breach, unlawful use, or a material safety or security risk, following any notice or opportunity to remedy required by law or your agreement. When the license ends, stop using and remove the app and licensed copies. Accrued obligations and provisions intended to survive continue to apply.

We may revise these Terms and publish the effective date and material changes, following legally required notice and agreement procedures. Revisions apply prospectively. Korean law governs, subject to mandatory applicable law; court jurisdiction follows applicable law. For questions or disputes, email contact@hirobot.com.
